A notary public is an internationally recognized legal professional who can authenticate and certify the documents for use in a foreign country such as USA, Canada, Europe and Macao. In certain circumstances, a document may be required to be submitted to the relevant consulate for "apostille".
In addition, if the document is to be used in mainland China, it needs to be "attested" by a China-Appointed Attesting Officer.
Common documents submitted for notarisation includes:
